Job description: What you’ll do:Reporting to the AVP, the Automotive Business Support Manager (ABSM) is responsible for assisting Canadian Tire Associate Dealers provide an industry-leading shopping experience. The ABSM will also assist the Dealers with growing sales and driving productivity improvements within their district through the use of tools, training and best practices that focus on improving automotive business results in tandem with creating and maintaining a consistent customer experience across our national network of Canadian Tire Automotive locations.Maintain an ethical and collaborative relationship between the Dealers and CorporationChampion the execution of Canadian Tires True North Strategy, prioritizing Customers at the Core that enhance the overall customer experience.Facilitate the automotive OE (Operational Excellence Program) in Stores, providing coaching and training of best practices.Partner directly with our Associate Dealers to help balance the Dealers automotive business plan with the retail plan and Corporate prioritiesGeneral understanding of the market, demographics and competitive landscapeEnsure aligned Corporate objectives are understood through written, verbal, in-person communications and regional automotive service meetings.Establish and maintain relationships with educational institutions to develop and promote co-op training programs, supporting technician development, EV service requirements and advancing the trade within Canadian TireProactively seek opportunities for personal and professional development, enhancing both technical knowledge and leadership capabilitiesProvide responsive assistance to Dealers for operational requests by leveraging virtual online booking tools and resources while balancing current in-store support prioritiesWhat you bring:Minimum of 10 years experience in Canadian Tire automotive service or equivalentRequired to travel extensively within and, at times, outside of assigned regionDemonstrated ability to influence outcomes without authorityAbility to interpret data, gain insights and provide recommendationsUnderstanding of the financial levers of the automotive serviceAbility to manage and adhere to a travel expense policy and budgetGeneral understanding of current and emerging technology and equipmentStrong written and verbal communication skillsValid drivers license and access to a vehicle requiredUnderstanding of the electric vehicle (EV) market, including protocols and standardsStay current with knowledge of Automotive software programsHybridWe value flexibility.
