  • You will actively participate in the execution of projects in the renewable energy industry (solar, wind, BESS);
  • You will perform detailed engineering work for high-voltage and medium-voltage electrical substations;
  • You will perform detailed engineering work for medium-voltage power collection systems (AC/DC);
  • You will prepare technical specifications for the acquisition of electrical equipment;
  • You will perform power system studies (short-circuit, power flow, cable ampacity, wave quality, protection and coordination, grounding, transients, etc.);
  • You will write Technical Reports and give recommendations;
  • You will work with multidisciplinary teams;
  • You will maintain a good relationship with clients and understand their needs;
  • You will support the business development team;
  • You will contribute to the performance of independent engineering mandates.

What you’ll bring to WSP:

  • A minimum of 7 years’ experience in renewable energy projects design (solar, wind, BESS);
  • A certification in electrical engineering that is recognized in at least one Canadian province;
  • Work experience with design software such as ETAP, Easy Power, Cymcap, PSCAD, PSS/E, CDEGS, WinIGS, etc.;
  • Experience in the designing of high-voltage substations;
  • Experience in the designing of medium-voltage power collection systems;
  • Knowledge of industry standards and interconnection requirements on different Canadian networks;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • Proven ability to cooperate with various stakeholders.
