Explore with us-your journey starts here.What You’ll DoReporting to the Finance Manager, the Financial Analyst provides accurate and timely financial reporting and analysis for both internal and external users, including financial management of the income statement and balance sheet, and on-going review of the budget and financial performance to forecast year end results and allow departments to alter their spending patterns where necessary/possible. The Analyst is also involved in policy development activities related to financial planning and reporting. This position is accountable to ensure all budget dollars flowing through general ledger meet Public Sector Accounting Board (PSAB), Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and related legislative regulations.Contract Duration: May 2025 to July 31, 2026What We’re Looking ForEducation & Experience

  • Post-secondary degree in Business Administration or Commerce
  • Recognized accounting designation (CPA, CMA, CGA, or CA)
  • Three years of previous experience in a related field

Skills & Abilities

  • Advanced proficiency with accounting software and spreadsheet programs and applications
  • Demonstrated knowledge of accepted accounting rules, practices, tax laws, and reporting requirements
  • Strong knowledge of fiscal management, business finance, capital funding, contracts, and partnerships
  • Ability to plan, organize, develop, implement, and interpret goals, objectives, and policies
  • Knowledge of standard office procedures and practices
  • Meticulous with numbers
  • High level of integrity and excellent work ethic
  • Highly developed understanding of industry regulations, standards, and best practices
  • Sound analytical thinking, planning, prioritization, and execution skills
  • Strong formal and informal leadership skills
  • Strong quantitative, problem solving and critical thinking skills

What We Offer
