Clean Energy Canada links effective action with pressing issues such as affordability, economic competitiveness and energy security.About the RoleThe Policy Analyst contributes to a range of initiatives through policy research, analysis, writing, stakeholder engagement, and communications. Additionally, this position assists in the preparation of research materials, supports events and government relations, and monitors developments in clean energy and climate policy.The ideal candidate will be a critical thinker and problem solver. With excellent planning and prioritization skills, they will be able to juggle multiple projects and deadlines. A creative and innovative team player, the incumbent will excel in making informed decisions, achieving results and creating positive change. The incumbent will be a strong communicator (both written and oral), capable of building and maintaining effective relationships, collaborations and partnerships.QualificationsA Bachelor’s degree in Public Policy, Environmental Sciences or relevant area and two years of related experience in a regulatory and/or policy environment, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.The incumbent will have knowledge of climate and clean energy fields and Canadian decarbonization pathways. This will ideally encompass knowledge and expertise related to clean energy policy, electricity system governance and regulation. Working at the nexus of energy and the economy, the incumbent will have knowledge of the Canadian regulatory and policy landscape, at provincial and/or federal levels. They will have familiarity with relevant data sources, modeling and economic analysis to inform policy choices.
