Job description: Worker Type: EmployeeJob Post End Date: 06/04/2025About this opportunity:The Team Lead, Cash Receivables and Payments is responsible for leading the cash receipts and payments department including activities to ensure that they are completed accurately and on time and driving process improvements. This role is a key member of the Cash Management team and requires an understanding of cash receipts, payment processes and systems utilized, strong leadership capabilities, and the ability to collaborate, influence and communicate effectively across business functions.What you’ll do:Lead and motivate the Cash Receivables and Payments team through coaching, mentorship, and day-to-day guidanceOversee and optimize daily, weekly, and monthly cash operations to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and complianceCollaborate with stakeholders to modernize the delegation of authority policy and streamline processesEnsure compliance with Cenovus internal controls over financial reportingPlay an active role in enterprise-wide initiatives that impact Treasury and cash managementReview and approve monthly account reconciliations with a strong eye for detail and riskWho you are:Our ideal candidate will have the following minimum requirements:Legally authorized to work in CanadaA bachelor’s degree in finance or accountingDesignation such as a Chartered Professional Accountant (or legacy equivalent) or Chartered Financial Analyst is an assetMinimum 8+ years of related work experienceWe acknowledge the value of transferrable skills and may consider equivalent combinations of experience and education should you not meet a specific requirement.Note: The application deadline for this position is 11:59 PM MT June 3, 2025.Internal candidates that are currently in a lower grade will be assessed based on their sustained job performance, how they demonstrate the expected organizational competency behaviors and values and in discussions with their current leader prior to determining next steps.Cenovus was ranked one of Canada’s Best Employers in 2025.
